Possible Crane Fly (Tipulidae)? I've never seen Crane Flies rest like this, almost spider-like. Found in damp forest near the Tarra River.

    Craig Boase says

This has me stumped on ID. The closest I could get is possibly from the family Zodariidae (Ant-eating Spiders). It was found in close proximity to a large meat ant colony in Big Desert State Forest.
