Reptiles are cold-blooded animals that seem to fascinate us and some members, such as snakes, give us concerns. Australia has a rick reptilian fauna of almost 900 species comprising sea turtles, side-necked turtles, Pig-nosed turtles, geckos, legless lizards, dragon lizards, monitors or goannas, skinks. blind snakes, pythons, colubrid snakes, elapid snakes, sea snakes, sea kraits, file snakes and crocodiles. The most diverse of the Australian fauna are the lizards and snakes, in particular in the arid regions of Australia. Join this Project and share your reptilian images and knowledge with us.

    Scincidae
    (family)
Taxonomy: Animalia: Chordata: Reptilia: Squamata: Scincidae
    Rose Robin says

The lizard on the timber grabbed the other one near the beginning of the back legs, gave him/her a bit of a shake, then released his grip. The one who was bitten had a sort of shudder and stared at the biter, then took off in a big hurry.
