Meant to add a message to Matthew - yes, I've noticed problems with the maps, a window pops up with 'This page can't load Google Maps correctly." but if you click on the heading then click OK on the message, then you can see the location.

Have just looked up a previous posting of mine of small brown weevils in a flower that I thought was a Cheese Tree, and find that the weevils have been identified for me as Elleschodes, the very weevils that pollinate Bolwarras. Thank you Kimberi!!! Now I'm wondering if I have misidentified the Cheese Tree, will post on a Facebook group for confirmation or correction. http://www.bowerbird.org.au/observations/107364

Common Names: Eupomati family, Small Bolwarra

Such an interesting ancient plant, pollinated by weevils of the Elleschodes according to this website: https://springbrookrescue.org.au/Flora.html "The Eupomatiaceae have a basal position in the evolution of flowering plants. Eupomatia contains only three species and it is the only genus in the family. Eupomatia laurina occurs along the east coast of Australia and in New Guinea. E. bennettii has a more restricted distribution in eastern Australia and E. barbata is found only near Cape Tribulation in the Wet Tropics of Queensland. E. bennettii and E. laurina, both occur at Springbrook. Eupomatia species are pollinated exclusively by tiny weevils in the genus Elleschodes (Order Coleoptera) representing both an extraordinary specialization in primitive flower types (a calyptera, unique among all flowering plants) and highly specific mutualism. E. hamiltonii pollinates E. laurina whereas another species in the genus pollinates E. bennettii."

The small seeds inside the dried pods are encased in a thin darkish film which would help with wind dispersal.
