Thank you Matthew, for all your assistance...it's so sad to know that Bowerbird won't be there waiting for us to log in whenever we find something interesting, or just plain amazing as most of the photos on Bowerbird are. I've learnt so much from you and others. All the very best for the future!

This will be my last post here on Bowerbird - it was a fantastic site while it lasted, but all good things have to come to an end. For those of you still here, thankyou for all of your help and input, and thankyou for all of the amazing sightings you've shared! It's been a fantastic journey and I'm honoured to have been a part of Bowerbird. I'll be moving everything over to iNaturalist shortly and will see you all on the other side. Farewell Bowerbird, and thanks for everything! You will be greatly missed.

Finally, a name! This is Tenodera blanchardi, still in the ALA and Bowerbird as T. fasciata blanchardi unfortunately. Had to dissect a male to be certain, but the genitalia are remarkably similar to T. bokiana for those interested. The greatest difference between the two is that the acutolobus is less 'club-shaped' in T. blanchardi than in T. bokiana

Thanks, Matthew. It was probably three times as big as the many other little ones I've seen. I didn't know they grew this large!

Interesting, it does look very flat - maybe it hasn't had much to eat lately? It's a female, and possibly adult
