    Sorry Leigh, but I think I'm wrong now. There is a hint that the antennal arista is plumose haired and the epistome (region immediately above the mouth) is not distinctly protruding (thus rather flat vertically) - in Cylindromyia the arista is more or less bare and the epistome protruding forward. James Lumbers has remarked on a very similar fly that it is possibly Sumpigaster which is more in line with what we see here. http://www.bowerbird.org.au/observations/123604
