    Pucciniomycetes
    (class)
    Taxonomy: Fungi: Basidiomycota: Pucciniomycetes
    Liz O'Donnell says

One of several dozen woody galls on a cherry ballart (Exocarpos cupressiformis). Identified as Uromycladium based on p. 159 of Farrow, R. 2016, Insects of South-Eastern Australia, CSIRO Publishing. Uromycladium isn't in the Bowerbird database yet so I've entered the kingdom, phylum etc. info as far as possible based on the taxonomy given in the Atlas of Living Australia (which does recognise the genus). Apparently species within the genus are often specific to a single host species or group of species, but I can't find any reference to which particular species like Exocarpus.
