    Peltoschema
    (genus)
Taxonomy: Animalia: Arthropoda: Insecta: Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Peltoschema
    Martin Lagerwey says

Peltoschema as a genus are found on Acacia. There are a few found on Davesia. Peltoschema orphana is the most well known species which feeds on silver wattle and is called the 'fireblight beetle' because it can reach numbers high enough to kill wattles. Records on Eucalyptus are usually dismissed as incidental but I have observed PREFERENCE for Eucalyptus in some cases and also recorded larvae on Eucalyptus. http://www.bowerbird.org.au/observations/20120 This would imply a possible different species. Clearly some more work is needed on this cryptic species. I would call it Peltoschema nr. orphana.
