    Paropsis dilatata
    (species)
Taxonomy: Animalia: Arthropoda: Insecta: Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Paropsis: dilatata
Common Names: Beetles, Chrysomelids, leaf beetles
    Martin Lagerwey says

This is one of my many favourite beetles. This specimen is more colourful than usual, this is likely to be caused by cold nights and in preparation for hibernation. Historically it has sometimes been confused with Paropsis intermedia but is unique in having the following differences, looking only at the pronotum; 1/ strongly punctured (pitted) pronotum. 2/ pronotum lacking maculae 3/ emarginate as distinct from crenulate margin of pronotum 4/ strongly carinate lateral margin of elytra and pronotum
