    I guess beaches are a known courting ground for humans so I can't see why the millipedes wouldn't feel the same way! Thanks for the info Bob, I'll be mindful to watch out again next Autumn :)

    I've seen many individuals on sandy beaches in autumn near Port Fairy, Vic and on the NW coast in Tasmania. Autumn is the social season for Portugese millipedes and I guess they think the beaches are where the boys/girls are...
