    Physical Description

    Small red brown nymph probably 4th or 5th instar. Prosternal process blunt transverse tubercule, see photo. (unlike Buforania) Pronotum covered with tubercules, no median carinae. Small notch at the anterior end. (See image). Inner surface of femur 3 black at the proxal end, grading to purple at the distal end. Tibia 3 purple with red band near "knee".

    Habitat

    Gravel desert (gibber) with herbs and shrubs

    The single white band on femur 3 is distinctive, I have not seen anything else like it. Quite active although the air temperature was about 10 degrees.
