    (species)
Taxonomy: Animalia: Arthropoda: Insecta: Diptera: Tephritidae: Austrotephritis: poenia
Common Names: Flies, Tephritids, fruit flies
    Tony D. says

A Tephritini (Tephrinae) - these are typically light dusted on the body, with flat scale-like whitish setae at the back of the head, and wings variously patterned. The particular pattern, or alternatively the hyaline areas, on the wings is important at species level.
