    Physical Description

It was thought that the specimen was a large unusual ant lion (lacewing larvae) but Ken Walker at VIC museum explained that it was an owl-fly larvae.

    Habitat

This larvae was observed amongst the seeds of rare Sclerolaena symoniana that were collected from gypseous lakes. Some seeds were collected from the ground under the plants in red sands and the larvae was most likely gathered up amongst the seeds.
