    Mycomya
    (genus)
Taxonomy: Animalia: Arthropoda: Insecta: Diptera: Mycetophilidae: Mycomya
    Ken Walker says

Rudie Kuiter took these photos and added these comments: "The male fungus-gnat measured about 4.5 mm long. Fungus Gnats belong to the family Mycetophilidae and the genus appears to be Mycomya. As shown, the individual entered the flower (Pterostylis sanguinea) with pollinia just taken from one flower and within a few minutes entered this one. It would have pollinated this flower with pollinia touching the stigma and then collected the second lot of pollinia as it came through the column wing. Having the pollinia from the first flower appeared to have delayed the escape as more than 30 minutes.
