2019: This bush is at least 85 years old, it was in the horse paddock of the original site of the Gunalda State School when my mother went there as a child, my mother later purchased the property when the school relocated and kept the bush there. The bush is heavily pruned back each year and easily grows back. Someone has suggested it is not a Quinine but a Brazilian Pepper, but I'm not convinced it is as a) why would they have planted a BP for shade in the horse paddock, and b) my mother & other children ate/sucked on the leaves. The plant has never had any flowers on it in the whole 85 years its been there, so I'm unable to add a photo of the flowers.
