Hi Laurence Saunders, it is Zonamegilla pulchra (Smith). You have taken several times this species in your place. But you were may be confused to see two bees different. It is because above on the stem it is a male and down the female of Z. pulchra. It is amazing to see on the same stem the male and the female sleeping together nearby.
