    Behaviour

Visiting low herbage and Cattle Trough. As per previous years: appears week before Xmas (18th Dec 2018) and last seen round Australia Day (22 Jan 2019 last individuals sighted @ trough). This year additional area sighted Ballin Boora Creek (1st time its been wet for 4 years after recieving its first ever Environmental Flow by the Commonwealth Water Holder). When visiting water bodies they always land towards the centre, clear of any other material (vegetation, trough walls etc) unlike other wasps and bees observed. Peak numbers visiting trough seen round first 2 weeks of January in the heat of the day. With approx 30-40 landing on trough water surface/minute.
