The wasps were observed foraging amongst the blossoms on a recently fallen stringybark branch during a heatwave. I am confused about which family they belong to - Thynnidae or Tiphiidae? The male body and wings are an iridescent blue/black, approx 25-30mm in length. The female is smaller with a red legs and red around the rear section of the mesosoma.0 votes
