Notechis scutatus scutatus if you want to be real specific :)

Thank you Matt - I'm sure real specific is encouraged on BowerBird!

I normally would be more specific Irene except in the case of Tigers. There's been so much debate as to whether they're all one species, several sub-species or even several species?

Thanks again, Matt. I have seen other tiger snakes near Bungendore which seem darker in colour. This one had found a patch of warm sun which had enhanced its golden colour - very beautiful I thought. I was with a bush walking group of 20 people and it was the second one we'd seen that day. I can see why there's a question mark over whether they are all the one species.
