    I don't think I'm the first to question the identify of this insect. My first thought was 'ooh, that's an interesting dragonfly. Hang on, what's with the butterfly antennae?' Ah, so apparently that makes it an owlfly? First seen at about 9am, on the stem of a salvia. Around 3pm (possibly in response to yet another round of photos!) it moved about 2 metres and perched on a garden ornament. Still there as I post this (6:45pm). A stunning character and I'm so pleased it came to visit. Any assistance with ID would be greatly appreciated (Ken Harris, if you'd be so kind; or anyone else willing to jump in?).
